Zadok House of Prayer
While July was a very busy month for ZHOP, the pace slowed down a lot in August as many families and individuals went on vacation and took time away to visit their families. This didn’t stop prayer in the prayer room though! In August we started prayer room “shifts”. There are four different shifts at ZHOP, 6am-Noon, Noon-6pm, 6pm-Midnight, and Midnight-6am. Shifts help make sure the prayer room is staffed at all times with a team of staff members praying and playing sets. Shifts have worked out very well since they started and ZHOP is growing! We now have intercession meetings four times a day, at 10 and 4 am or pm everyday. Each prayer meeting has a specific focus and a full worship team to help facilitate corporate intercession.
Internships
On August 30th the first term of “The Awakened” night watch internship ended. Term II of the internship starts on September 8th, 3 of the June Term I interns have decided to stay and continue on in Term II. The September Term I internship also starts on September 8th with 3 interns that have decided to dedicate their nights to the Lord and pray from Midnight-6am. For more information the “The Awakened Internship”, see the events section below.
On July 28th the second day time internship called the Zadok Internship started. There are 8 interns who have committed themselves to live a lifestyle of prayer and fasting. Here is an update from Adam McArthur one of the directors of the internship:
"The second Zadok Internship is currently underway. It started on July 28th and will end in the beginning of December. The Lord has brought 8 interns from all over the country to stand before Him during these 5 months. We have a group of young people who are hungry for the face of God and are thirsty for His word! God is jealous for young people who will stand and minister to His heart, and when they do, when they consecrate a season of their life to seek Him, as His word says, He meets them (James 4:8). There is a transformation that takes place when you set yourself to encounter the living God, and this is what we are seeing right now. We are excited, as they go deeper in meditation, times of intercession and gazing at the brilliance of His glory, to see how God shows up. Please pray for a lifestyle of encounter for these 8 young people."
Meditation
We believe that meditation is key for understanding and going deeper in the word. What we do is we have one verse that we will meditate on for about 3-4 weeks at a time. We have meetings each week to share what we have received from the Lord. Right now we are meditating on Daniel 2:20-21:
"...Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His.
And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding."
Here is some insight from one of our team members Andy Hailstone:
Blessed be the name of God forever! His name will be forever blessed and praised. Right now we might not understand what the Lord is doing in our lives, why He is doing something or why He is bringing change, but in eternity we will stand before His throne and bless His name forever. He is all wise, His leadership is perfect and all His ways are righteous. He knows what He is doing no matter how confusing and hard it may seem to us.
Trips
August 30-September 5th, a team from 7 Thunders went Salem, Oregon to minister at the Salem House of Prayer with Gary and Marie Wiens(Burning Heart Ministries) and Eddie Boasso(IHOP-KC). Here is a report from Ben Greutman, one of the team members who went on the trip:
The Whole Conference was energizing and full of the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation. Though I was ministering in worship, prayer, and prophecy and pouring out to the people of Salem, I felt such a filling of Holy Spirit during the weekend. There was a clear vein of focus expressed throughout all the teachings from Kirk, Gary & Marie and Eddie. Kirk spent much time on the necessity of the priesthood and the pursuit of righteousness, and Gary & Marie touched on the same focus through the day to day practice of the Beatitudes. Eddie, along the same lines, talked about the need for the ministry to the Lord to go up Night and Day throughout the earth and showed a practical way to walk that out through Harp and Bowl Worship and
Intercession. Bekah Myers taught on meditation of Scripture and the need in this day to go deep in the Word and use the Word to get the Heart of the Lord.
The unity of message among all the speakers and worship, led by Jacob Ferrell - Director of ZHOP Nightwatch and the Awakened Internship, was unmistakably the sovereign plan of God and a prophetic declaration to the SHOP and the Northwest United States. To validate the essential nature of this message, Holy Spirit broke in on the Friday night with healing Power! We saw people get healed of diseases and infirmities right before our eyes! But there was a man there named Brock who came in, in a wheelchair and left that night in a wheelchair. This must provoke us to get a deeper Revelation that Christ lives in us, and that is our hope of glory (Col. 1). The Blind will see, the deaf will hear, and the lame will walk. And they do, but there is a lack of such widespread power in the Western Church that we must contend for in communion, intercession, and actually living lives of righteousness as described in walking out the beatitudes. (Jacob and Lacy Ferrell are the directors of the nightwatch)
